Adverse weather has forced BC Ferries to cancel today’s trip between Prince Rupert and Haida Gwaii.
Weather forecasts are showing winds of up to 90 km/h in the Hecate Strait, prompting them to keep the Northern Expedition docked for the weekend.
Trips will resume on Sunday at 10:00 at night, when the Expedition will leave Prince Rupert, weather permitting, arriving in Skidegate for 7:00 Monday morning.
In an attempt to make up for the missed trip, the Northern Expedition will make an extra trip from Prince Rupert to Haida Gwaii at 10:00 pm on Monday.
