68 local governments, First Nations, and not-for-profits are receiving funding as part of the fifth intake of the province’s Rural Dividends Fund.
In the north, 14 organizations and communities are set to benefit from grant funding, including 3 in Terrace.
On top of that, Witset, Burns Lake, Houston, Bella Coola, Fort St John, Williams Lake, and Quesnel will all see projects benefit from the funding.
Each project was able to apply for up to 10 thousand dollars in funding to go towards projects that improve local economic strength, community partnerships, and youth retention in rural communities.
In total, the fifth stream of funding saw just over 670 thousand dollars in funding handed out.
