Prince Rupert residents may notice a change in their tap water.
City crews are starting to flush out local watermains today (Tuesday) to help remove stagnant water from pipes.
The hope is the action will help speed up the process of downgrading the boil water notice in place since mid December.
The city says the flushing could make tap water milky looking or stir up sediment.
It’s asking people to run their taps until the water runs clear.
The boil water notice remains in effect.
