A Prince Rupert group wants to see the development a Clean Water Preparedness Plan.
Community for Clean Water is calling on the city to help provide clean water to its citizens, especially those most vulnerable, in light of the recent boil water notice.
That month-and-a-half long notice was downgraded to a water quality advisory last Friday, but Northern Health is recommending residents continue to boil their water if it’s for consumption by children under 2, the elderly, and those with existing medical conditions.
Community for Clean Water organizer Tom Kertes is scheduled to speak to city council Monday night.
