B.C.’s first medical sonography program outside the Lower Mainland is underway in Prince George.
Eight students in the Northern Diagnostic Medical Sonography program held an event to officially open classrooms and lab space at the College of New Caledonia today.
It’s hoped that the program, which launched earlier this month, will cut wait lists for medical scans.
Students will get training in both cardiac ultrasound and general ultrasound.
The program’s number of students will double to 16 for the next intake.
