Aboriginal student graduation rates in Prince Rupert have dropped 8 percent below the provincial average.
According to a report released by the Ministry of Education, Indigenous high school students in Prince Rupert a graduating at just a 62 percent clip.
That 6 year graduation rate is actually a one percent drop compared to 2017.
Non-Aboriginal students in the City hold a graduation rate of 81 percent.
School District 52 is planning to counter the drop with the implimentation of a literacy plan which ensures all students are reading by third grade.
