Food service establishments and businesses in Prince Rupert are being reminded that they should still be boiling their water before use.
While a boil water notice that had plagued the City was reduced to a water quality advisory last week, businesses should still employ the former rules.
This means boiling water that comes directly from the city’s taps for at least one minute prior to human consumption or use on products intended for human consumption.
On top of businesses, any water being consumed by the elderly, youth, or those with pre existing medical conditions should also still be boiled for one minute.
