Wet’suwet’en members are becoming concerned that they may soon be ordered to keep even more distance between them and Coastal GasLink workers.
According to Michael Lee Ross, a lawyer for the Nation, an order to maintain a 10 metre distance from work sites or workers is likely coming down the line.
Ross says the restrictions would last for the duration of the interim injunction, which could be several months.
Interim injunctions like the one granted to CGL usually remain in effect until a judgement is delivered on the main injunction application.
As it stands, both sides have agreed on a hearing deadline date of May 31st.
