For the second time in a month, a wolf attack has led to the death of a dog in the northwest.
This time the attack took place in Port Edward at roughly 9:00 this morning.
After receiving the report, the district called in the BC Conservation Service, who are now on the lookout for 3 wolves in the area.
Other reports of wolf sightings in the area have been reported recently as well.
Conservations officers say that once the wolves are found, they will be put down as they now pose a risk to the public.
Pet owners are asked to use caution and keep pets close when taking them for walks.
