A collision between a train and grader east of Smithers from this morning has sent one to hospital.
It is believed that the CN Rail container train was heading west at about 10:30 this morning when it struck the road grader.
Emergency crews extracted the person operating the grader and had them transported to Bulkley Valley District Hospital with undisclosed injuries.
CN Rail staff, as well as rail maintenance crews attended the site.
Very little is known about the cause of the accident thus far as an investigation is on-going.
