TransCanada is reportedly looking to revive a Prince Rupert based project canned in 2017.
According to the corporation, growing interest in a second LNG plant in northwestern BC has them assessing the viability of restarting the Prince Rupert Gas Transmission pipeline project.
That project was originally cancelled in July of 2017 following the end to the Pacific Northwest LNG terminal proposed for Lelu Island.
TransCanada didn’t mention specifics, but they did say that multiple parties had shown interest in starting a second facility post-2025.
