As they load up to make a pitch to the province, the Northwest BC Resource Benefits Alliance are looking to add a full time manager.
Funded by 3 Regional Districts and representing more than 20 local governments, the Alliance aims to nab local governments a share of resource tax revenue.
According to the Alliance, since local governments cover many costs incured by large-scal resource projects, they should receive a cut of the associated tax revenue.
With the group preparing to negotiate with the province, the time to bring on a full time manager has arrived.
An annual expenditure of 100 thousand dollars has been earmarked for the position.
