MPs Nathan Cullen, Romeo Saganash, and Murray Rankin will join Wet’suwet’en Chiefs in Witset this weekend to open discussions with the province.
Government to Government talks will kick off with a smoke feast at the Witset Multiplex tomorrow afternoon.
Trust and rights recognition will be the priorities in the discussions, which hope to form the foundation on which a deeper relationship can be built.
Wet’suwet’en land and title rights have been dominating headlines ever since an RCMP injunction enforcement saw 14 members of the nation arrested on their land in January.
