A report in to the recently concluded Thornhill Governance Review and Outreach Study drew less than favourable participation.
Just 5 percent of eligible residents took part in the community outreach program, according to the Regional District of Kitimat Stikine.
That works out to roughly 130 residents, despite concerted efforts to draw attention to the survey via online platforms and local media campaigns.
There were 3 areas the review focused on: informing and clarifying questions regarding information collected to date, identifying public concerns with local services and governance in Thornhill, and guaging community interest in a governance change.
A public survey was also launched on the web, and via printed format, of which just 82 were received.
