Since the early warmth may have you fooled, the Ministry of Transportation is reminding drivers to keep those winter tires on.
With some parts of the province experiencing freak late-April snowfalls last year, the province has expanded their winter tire regulation until April 30th.
Previous regulations only kept the restrictions in place until March 31st.
While not applicable to all highways in the province, the new date does apply to most major highways north of Kamloops.
Winter tires must be marked with the mountain or snowflake logo and must have at least 3.5 millimeters of tread depth.
