The Port of Prince Rupert has announced a new arrival at the Fairview Container Terminal.
ZIM Integrated Shipping Services has added Prince Rupert as one of its port destinations for weekly marine carrier service.
The new ZIM service made its inaugural call at the port Wednesday with the arrival of containers on the Maersk Altair vessel.
The port authority says the addition validates Prince Rupert’s advantages of speed, reliability, and reach.
It says ZIM is part of the fourth weekly service for Prince Rupert, allowing intermodal shippers on or near CN’s rail network to route freight through the Port of Prince Rupert.
