A lack of public interest has halted the Thornhill Governance Survey.
Just 5 percent of Thornhill’s eligible residents participated in a series of recent public engagement events.
Through one-on-one interviews, drop-in meetings, and formal presentations, the study had intended to guage public interest in a governance change.
However, after just under 70 people participating in in-person events, and only 81 online surveys submitted, the study has been canned.
According to the Regional District, it’s just not the time to look at a change.
