Skeena-Bulkley Valley MP Nathan Cullen will be on hand as Senators gather to discuss an issue initially championed by the MP nearly 5 years ago.
Senators on the Standing Committee on Transport and Communications are in the northwest this week as they continue to look in to bill C-48.
That bill would see the banning of most major oil tanker traffic along BC’s north coast.
Cullen was paramount to the bill’s inception, having first brought the idea of a legal ban before Parliament in 2014.
Senators will be holding hearings in Prince Rupert tomorrow and in Terrace the following day, with Cullen among a number of key delegates.
