BC Transit has announced a number of logistical changes for its Prince Rupert to Port Edward services.
One of the biggest impacts will be on passengers’ wallets, with fares going up from 2 to 3 dollars for a trip on Route 60 between the two communities.
In addition, the cost for passengers heading to the North Pacific Cannery Site will jump from to 2.75 to 4 dollars.
Students and seniors will also see rates jump by a dollar.
On top of those changes, DayPASSes will no longer be valid on the Prince Rupert to Port Edward route, and transfers will not be issued when travelling south from Prince Rupert routes.
