BC Bus North will continue for a second year following the renewal of a joint-level government commitment.
Bus North was established last summer to give residents of rural northern communities a form of inter-community travel after Greyhound’s abrupt departure.
Interim service was originally scheduled to cease on May 30th, but today’s renewal will extend the program until September.
Further details are likely to emerge in the coming weeks as the provincial and federal governments iron out the terms of a new agreement.
