A First Nations controlled cannabis company plans to start construction on its Burns Lake growing operation in the next couple of weeks.
Nations Cannabis says its 50-thousand square foot cultivation facility based at the old Burns Lake Specialty Wood building will create up to 60 much needed jobs in the region.
Company founder and executive chairman Wes Sam says he’s been working on the project with various partners for about six years.
Sam says he expects the facility, which will grow recreational and medical cannabis, to start production by mid-summer
Nations Cannabis is holding a meet and greet at the Burns Lake Chamber of Commerce Monday, April 29th followed by a job and career fair at the Burns Lake Native Development Corporation that night and the following day.
