Lakes district residents can have a say on how many trees will be harvested in the region.
The forests ministry is holding an open house in Burns Lake Wednesday to gather feedback on a paper released as part of a timber supply review for the Lakes District Timber Supply Area.
The discussion paper provides the results of a timber supply analysis, current forest management practices in the region, and a base-case harvest forecast.
Public feedback will be used by the chief forester before yearly cut levels are set.
The open house is set for Wednesday, May 1 from 6:30 to 8:30 at the Lakeside Multiplex in Burns Lake.
A copy of the discussion paper can be found here.
The deadline for comments is July 5.
