The Canadian military has handed over the case of northwest B.C. plane crash to RCMP.
The Joint Rescue Coordination Centre in Victoria received an emergency notification at 8:45 Saturday morning from a Cessna 182 approximately 50 nautical miles north of Smithers Landing.
Maritime Forces Pacific says a search and rescue technicians were inserted into the crash site by a Cormorant helicopter Saturday afternoon.
Details of about those on board and their condition is not available, although the Cessna 182 has a capacity of four.
As of 2:30 Saturday afternoon, RCAF Search and Rescue teams completed their mission and handed the case over to RCMP.
