Terrace will now have access to the final portion of funding needed to cover the costs of upgrades to the District Aquatic Centre.
In 2017, City Council passed a bylaw approving the borrowing of up to 4 million dollars to perform the upgrades.
In the fall of 2018, the City accessed the first portion of that funding, a total of 2.5 million dollars funded by the Miniciple Finance Authority.
Yesterday, City Council signed off on a request to access a further 1,233,700 of that loan.
According to the report issued to Council, this will represent the last portion of funding needed for the project.
That would bring the total amount of borrowed funding on the project to 3,733,700 dollars.
