Terrace RCMP and its partners are teaming up to provide extra patrols during the Victoria Day long weekend.
Police, along with conservation officers, park rangers and DFO will be conducting additional enforcement in town, on the road, in recreation sites, and on the water.
In past years we have issues with underage drinking, adults supplying minors with liquor, and drinking and driving,
said RCMP Staff Sergeant Michael Robinson in a news release. Don’t be silly. Drink responsibly, follow the rules of the road, and keep an eye on your kids, particularly your young adults. By doing those few things, you can better protect yourselves from the consequences of poor decision making, which includes police enforcement and tickets.
RCMP say those not following the rules, including liquor offences will be evicted from recreation sites.
Parents or guardians of minors will be called to remove their kids from the park if they’re found committing any offences.
