A number of northwestern communities are among 80 in BC that will benefit from a new provincial partnership.
British Columbia has invested 14.5 million dollars to help the Union Gospel Mission build over 20 thousand new homes for women and children.
In Terrace the funding will help bring 145 units and beds to Terrace, split between 2 Ksan Housing Society projects and a M’akola Housing Society undertaking.
Kitimat will see the funding go to a 23 unit Haisla Nation project.
Projects overseen by Lax Kwa’laams and the North Coast Transition Society will operate over 100 beds in the Prince Rupert area.
On Haida Gwaii, two projects in Queen Charlotte, and one in Skidegate are hosting nearly 50 units.
