RCMP say a three vehicle crash in the Pine Pass Sunday claimed a life.
Chetwynd RCMP were called out to Highway 97 near Azouzetta Lake at 6:50.
Investigators believe a south-bound vehicle crossed the centre line, side swiped a north bound semi, and crashed head-on with a vehicle behind the semi.
The driver of the vehicle following the semi died at the scene. RCMP say he was a central B.C. man in his late 20s.
The highway was closed for several hours as investigators examined the scene.
Peace Region Traffic Services, the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service, and the BC Coroners’ Service are investigating.
