It’s been eight years since the disappearance of a Madison Scott.
The 20-year-old Vanderhoof woman went to a party at Hogsback Lake south of the community the night of May 27, 2011.
Scott pitched her tent with a group of friends, but by 4 a.m. the next day, everyone but Scott had left the campsite.
She has not been seen since.
RCMP say they believe something criminal may have happened between 4:00 and 8:30 that morning that led to Maddy’s disappearance.
Investigators say someone out there has information that can help find her or identify the people responsible.
Her parents Dawn and Eldon Scott, are urging anyone with information to come forward.
“These are not easy times. Our daughter remains missing and we need your help,” said Maddy’s parents in a news release. “We have learned a lot through this process, but one thing that has become apparent is that information is what drives an investigation. There is no excuse not to call the police with what you know. There is no way to rationalize talking about this case with others and not the police.”
Contact the Vanderhoof RCMP at (250) 567-2222 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS with any information.
