Under the Canadian Red Cross’s Support for Small Business Program, eligible owners can receive up to 20 thousand dollars in recovery funding.
Businesses and not for profit organizations with less than 50 employees will be eligible to apply for funding.
Financial assistence from the program is intended to help businesses cover uninsured expenses, cleanup and repair costs, short term equipment leases, and operational costs among other wildfire-incurred setbacks.
Businesses will be able to apply for funding beginning next week and ending in September.
Funding comes as part of the 10 million dollar investment in Red Cross managed wildfire recovery efforts made last November.
