New provincial grant funding will give a boost to community organizations looking to tackle homelessness.
Through a six million dollar investment from the province, the Social Planning and Research Council of BC will distribute the Homelessness Community Action Grant.
Grants will be distributed over the next three years in the form of one-time funding to projects which address the unique conerncs of poverty on their communities.
Approved projects should focus on the use and addition of local resources and knowledge, increase public awareness and support, and respond to gaps in services.
