Residents from all walks of life made one thing very clear as they filled School District 82’s boardroom yesterday: they want answers.
Over the course of the emotionally charged evening, more than a dozen parents, students, and teachers spoke to board members.
For the most part, they were fairly united in their demands for transparency, explination, and consultation.
Public outcry first popped up when the Coast Mountain School District announced that 3 beloved local administrators would be moving back to the classroom.
During yesterday’s meeting, parents made it very clear just how important those administrators were in their children’s lives.
Board members were unable to answer most questions posed by the speakers, and no motions were put forward on the matter.
Near the end of the question period, residents inquired about postponing the decision to move the principals until after a Board- started independant investigation wraps up.
The Board held strong and refused to reverse their decision.
