Two northwestern elementary schools were able to crack the top 100 in BC, according to the Fraser Institute’s latest rankings.
Each year, the Fraser Institute releases their rankings based on provincially mandated standardized test results.
For the 2017-2018 school year, the Institute ranked 955 total elementary schools in the province.
Both Vertias Elementary in Terrace, and Annunciation in Prince Rupert tied for 88th among those ranked.
Those two were the only northwestern schools to rank within the top 100.
Highschool rankings are also released annually by the Institute, though only one school in the northwest snuck in to the top 100 of the 251 high schools ranked.
Caledonia Secondary School in Terrace was the northwest’s lone double digit representative, coming in at 59th.
