In a rare occurance, both the Fire Department and Insurance company are listing the cause of a June12th fire in Prince Rupert as undetermined.
Damage from that blaze, which sprouted up in the evening on Third Avenue, has already resulted in two home being written off, with a third possibly to follow.
All three buildings were ignited in the fire, though no injuries occured as a result.
Upon investigation, the fire department was able to determine that the fire originated from the property at 937 Third Avenue.
However, the condition of the buildings made it impossible to determine exactly what caused the blaze.
An insurance company-led investigation came to the same conclusion.
So far the properties at both 937 and 941 Third Avenue have been listed as complete write offs, while the property at 945 Third Avenue could still go either way.
