Increasing access to healthy, homegrown foods for British Columbians is the focus of the province’s newest task force.
Through their three-member Food Security Task Force, the province will look in to ways to apply new technologies and innovations to the agriculture industry.
A strategic strategy will be developed by the Task Force and presented in their final report on December 31st.
That strategy will focus on: decreasing waste and increasing industry sustainability through new technologies, expanding the agritech industry, support for the province’s CleanBC commitments, and increasing access to fresh, healthy food in BC communities.
