Today Canada officially closed the long-rumoured sale of Ridley Terminals Inc.
Based out of Prince Rupert, the former Crown Corporation had served the area for more than three decades.
Over that time, the terminal has become highly profitable, acting as a leader in bulk energy commodity transfers on the coast.
Last year, the Canadian Development Investment Corporation put their stake up for sale.
Now, the Corporation has announced the final sale of 90 percent of RTI to Riverstone Holdings and AMCI Group for 350 million dollars.
The remaining 10 percent ownership stake will be split between the Lax’kwalaams and Metlakatla First Nations Bands.
