Terrace and area bowlers will have one more season to get in a few frames before the pins fall silent at a local institution.
Terrace Bowling Lanes has been sold to the City of Terrace to make way for future expansion of the City’s operations.
Originally built in 1956, the business has been owned and operated by the Mumford family for the past 46 years.
In a post to its Facebook page Tuesday, the family says it’s retiring and moving on to new adventures, but says they’re going to have a blast for their farewell season.
The City of Terrace says it will lease the properties back to the family for nine months so it can operate the 2019-2020 bowling season from September 1st to May 31st.
