RCMP are investigating after the discovery of a body and a burning vehicle near Dease Lake.
Police were called to a burning pickup Friday near the Stikine River Bridge along Highway 37.
While officers were at the scene, a driver told them they had just seen what looked like a body at a nearby pullout along the highway.
Police discovered the body of a male, but say they don’t know whether the two incidents are connected.
The North District Major Crime Unit and “E” Division Major Crimes are involved in the investigation.
Dease Lake RCMP are asking for any witnesses who were in the area or may have dash-cam footage to come forward.
