The Northwest Fire Centre says a couple of blazes in the Cassiar Fire Zone are causing plenty of smoke.
The Barrington River fire 50 kilometres west of Telegraph Creek has shown little growth since Sunday’s wind fanned the flames to 4400 hectares.
Officials say smoke is highly visible from Glenora and Telegraph Creek but no structures are being threatened.
The Southwest Tagish Lake fire 41 kilometres west of Atlin has burned about 1400 hectares of steep terrain and has grown due to high wind.
Crews have installed structure protection units at two homes that could potentially be impacted.
The Volcano Creek complex of of six wildfires is burning about 40 kilometres west of Bell 2, but all are considered under control.
