A couple of northwest B.C. cities cracked the top 50 of a recent rating of Canada’s best communities.
The Macleans magazine rankings put Terrace at number 35 and Prince Rupert at 46.
Terrace received good marks in the areas of affordability, ammenities, and taxes, while Prince Rupert’s top three features were taxes, commute time, and affordability.
The magazine ranking looked at data on 415 communities across the country and compared factors like wealth and economy, affordability, population growth, taxes, commute, crime, weather, access to health care, amenities and culture.
The top-ranked community for 2019 was Burlington, Ontario while the highest-ranked B.C. community was Salmon Arm at number 6.
