Prince Rupert isn’t the only community receiving federal and provincial infrastructure funding.
The Village of Burns Lake will use $4.8 million in joint funding money for a new water treatment building and filters to reduce levels of arsenic and manganese in community drinking water.
The Central Coast Regional District will use nearly $5.2 million in funding to build a water treatment plant in Hagensborg which will have filtration gear and disinfection equipment to end a long-term boil water advisory.
The joint municipal, provincial, and federal funding is through the Investing in Canada infrastructure plan and New Building Canada Fund.
