Quesnel’s Mayor Bob Simpson as well as Councillors Scott Elliott, Tony Goulet, Ron Paull and Laurey-Anne Roodenburg will be attending the Union of B.C. Municipalities convention. They will have scheduled meetings with Ministers from the Provincial Government.
This convention brings together local governments of all sizes from all over the province. They will be sharing experiences, meeting with Ministers and senior government and participating in engagement sessions and workshops.
The Mayor and Council will have the opportunity to meet with various Ministers and bring forward topics and issues that impact the Quesnel Community. Topics include, community harm reduction, child care spaces, comprehensive housing strategy, the forest industry, indigenous culture centres, old Quesnel Junior School property and the North-South interconnector.
The city will be providing updates from the meetings and news from the convention on the City of Quesnel website.
