The BC Conservation Officer Service is investigating the killing of a grizzly bear near Terrace.
Conservation officers believe the bear was shot and left near Chimdemash Loop Road and the Skeena River sometime between September 17 and 20.
The young male grizzly was found on the 20th near the river by someone fishing. The CO Service says none of its parts that might be sought by poachers had been taken.
The Conservation Officer Service is asking anyone with information about the shooting to contact them.
The Province banned the commercial grizzly hunt in 2017.
