The Cariboo Regional District Board of Directors had a productive week attending the Union of B.C. Municipalities. Meetings, debates and professional development sessions all took place.
The board submitted 6 resolutions that were passed with the last one seeing amendments before arrival. The final three resolutions were not voted on due to a lack of time. They will be directly reviewed by the UBCM executive at a later time.
Some of the resolutions included increasing funding for fire centres in B.C, improving access to provincial emergency preparedness funding for independent fire services and Consistency in access to Emergency Support Service resources.
A full list of all the resolutions can be found on the UBCM website.
