A boil water notice remains in effect for some Prince Rupert residents.
The notice was issued last Friday after testing revealed higher levels of total coliforms in the water system.
City crews have been flushing the system and continue to test water samples.
Once two consecutive days of clear test results come back, the notice will be lifted and residents will be advised by a paper notice to household mailboxes.
Until then, residents in the affected area should continue to boil their water for 2 to 3 minutes before using it for drinking, cooking, or brushing teeth.
The City believes the increased bacteria levels are linked to oversized piping and lower water flows in the area.
