The District of Kitimat has issued a water quality advisory.
Officials say the advisory was issued due to high turbidity levels in the Kitimat River.
Northern Health is recommending children, the elderly, and those with weakened immune systems use boiled water.
The District says there is no evidence of increased risk to users of the Kitimat Community Water System.
Officials say testing will continue and the District will notify residents when the advisory is lifted.
