Francois Lake ferry workers won’t be going on strike.
The BC Government and Service Employees Union says it’s reached a tentative agreement with ferry owner WaterBridge Equipment.
The BCGEU says the deal will mean wage parity with BC Ferries within the three-year term of the agreement as well as a commitment to training and career paths for members.
Back in August, workers voted 78 percent in favour of taking job action when bargaining hit an impasse.
However, the union says a deal was reached last week after two days of intense bargaining.
Employees are expected to hold a ratification vote in the coming week.
