Newly minted Skeena-Bulkley Valley MP Taylor Bachrach was on hand for NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh addressed the media with his new caucus Wednesday.
Singh says his party’s first act when Parliament resumes will be to introduce a private member’s bill to create a universal pharmacare system.
Bachrach says the NDP will also challenge the Trudeau government’s appeal of a human rights tribunal ruling.
The ruling ordered the government to pay what could be billions in compensation to Indigenous children and families hurt by the child welfare system.
