The community of Telegraph Creek will remain cut off for at least one more night.
After a geotechnical survey of the area hit by a rockslide Tuesday, crews have started moving debris from the site 20 km east of the village.
However, officials say that work will only take place during daylight hours due to challenging conditions and to keep work crews safe.
A massive amount of rocks and debris came down across Highway 51, the only road access to Telegraph Creek, around 9 a.m. Tuesday.
There were no reports of injuries, but traffic in and out of the community has been blocked.
The transportation ministry says an estimated time of opening will be provided by 11:00 a.m. Thursday.
