Debris removal is underway on Telegraph Creek Road, with crews, equipment and geotechnical engineers on site.
Work is currently taking place during daylight hours to ensure the safety of the workers.
The estimated opening time is mid-afternoon on Sunday.
Communication and power lines are not affected. Food and supplies were delivered by helicopter yesterday.
The ministry would like to thank area residents for their patience while crews work to remove debris and restore access.
