NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh has named Skeena-Bulkley Valley MP Taylor Bachrach to the party’s shadow cabinet.
Bachrach will act as Critic for Infrastructure and Communities.
Singh made the announcement in a speech to the Federation of Canadian Municipalities, noting that while Bachrach is a first time MP, he brings years of experience working on municipal issues having served as Mayor of Smithers.
Bachrach says he’s honoured with the appointment, adding he’s looking forward to working with all levels of government to ensure communities have what they need to thrive.
Singh will announce the rest of his shadow cabinet roles Thursday.
